Well here goes a new try towards the new life for this site. Tiny and I decided that on my days off this summer we’re going to try and do more hiking. So this was our first outing of the year. Angel Springs is about a 6Km hike in from June Springs/Little White Rd. It was a little tough due to the mud from run off and the fact that both of us are out of shape. For the most part though it was one of the coolest hikes we’ve done in a while. Angel Spring is part of KLO creek which is heated by hydrothermal activity. Apparently it can get up to 29 degrees C. What was cool was that the stream bed and anything in the water was slowly being covered in mineral deposits turning cedar branches into stone.
Hannah also had a blast hanging out with mom and dad on the afternoon hike. She was constantly cooing and babling about what she was seeing. Occasionally we’d stop and let her touch a rock, or some moss or a tree. We came up with a little saying for whenever we go out hiking, “Bushes and trees and rocks and moss! What are we going to see? Bushes and trees and rocks and moss!”
